Community, Connection and Collective well-being
Kapwa is a core value of Filipino psychology that embodies the concept of shared identity and interconnectedness, suggesting that one’s well-being is intrinsically linked to the well-being of others. From the foundation that we are all part of a larger whole- another person’s joy or struggle is also, in a way, our own.
When we embody kapwa, and turn our hearts toward collective well-being and our responsibility to each other, how does spiritual growth and maturity change?
What is Spiritual Direction?
“Spiritual direction is a relationship that helps us attend to the presence and call of God in all of life.”1 It is a ministry that offers a sacred space where our inner world is held with care and intentionality. The hope for a director is to design a space where director and directee discern together what God might be doing and saying.
A meeting time is marked by moments of silence, a director listening more than speaking, and purposeful questions that unearth greater clarity and understanding.

About Me
I love the privilege of walking alongside others on their journey of encountering God’s redeeming love. Through embracing my cultural identity as a Filipino American, a passion grew to cultivate spaces where all belong and celebrate the fullness of who God has created each of us to be- including our cultural heritage.
From years of working with global/international students, it is my commitment to continually learn and share the gifts of the global church, so followers of Christ can better reflect the image and love of God more fully to the world. I love the ministry of soul care, especially through spiritual direction for groups and leading retreats.
